About ten years ago I owned a Dodge 300 van with a factory 4x4 conversion, it was a 79 model. The story as was relayed by the original dealer was that the chassis was taken off line and sent to Byers truck and trailer mfg. in Oshawa Ont. for the frame mods , then sent back to the assy. line for completion. This was a tough truck. and I miss it greatly.
