Sounds to me like others have hit on the answer with the Master Cyl adjustment. As for me, I gave up chasing ghosts. I went the 4 wheel disc brake route with no regrets. Check out uglytruckling.com for a bolt on set for the front, and minor mod (burn rivits out of rear brake plates) for the back. You do of course have to send in a set of hubs for modification, but for about $1100 you can stop like a new car and get parts locally. Regards Winget
