The M37's weigh about #5500 minimum. The axles, I don't know about their comparison. We built the nearly unbreakable axles like torsion bars. At this point, the design, the material and process is proprietary. We wanted them to be like a spring and take up some of the snap of the improved drivelines vs larger tire footprints (ie more traction). It seems to be working. John Ayle has a WC half ton with a 454 and LAV Michelins on it. He can rev the engine, sidestep the clutch, and burn the tires for two blocks!! We've had this discussion at least twice before on Big E, and there all kinds of ramifications to a statement like this, but I defy any other M37 to perform this kind of axle abuse. We plan to comit this to tape! I think Daniels axles would probably take this abuse also, although his are designed slightly differently. In our design, the only difference between the PW and M37 axles is one of length. I expect to be able to offer them to the PW guys, and the M series guys, at sometime in the future. Thanx Will Liebscher
