Thats interesting. Sounds like they were seriously overloading their trucks. I wonder if the percentage of broken axles increased once they started scoring them? Knock on wood but I've never snapped an axle, even with the 318 in the M-37. Only time I've seen it happen there was considerable abuse involved.
