Here's what I did. I attached the allthread rod to the handle in front and left the back end loose to bend it in place. I wedged a short piece of wood (2x4) between the body and the allthread about 8 inches in front of the transfer case. Then I used my floor jack and a two foot long (or whatever length will reach the rod) to press the rod upward behind the block of wood, in front of the transfer case. I checked it for clearance, cut it to length with a sawzall, and double-nutted it to the brake assembly using a yoke identical to the one on the front. Works great!
