Fuel System questions/upgrades?

I'm looking at having to replace the carberator of my 62 W300, along with the fuel pumpt, which brought these questions to mind. My apologies if they are extremely uninformed or amateurish.

The parts store indicates that a rebuilt Holley carb is available. Of course, the old carb is a two barrel. Are there upgrade carbs that are available and if so what would they be?

Given as the truck I drive daily anymore is a fuel injected turbocharged diesel, I wondered if it might be possible to add an aftermarket fuel injection system for the old 318 on this truck, or is that ridiculous?
