The rear springs are shackled in the rear.

The grease nipples on the front of the front springs face inward. IE they are on the inboard side of the shackle. If they face outward someone has either put the shackle in backwards or put the bolt in from the wrong side. If the shackles are backwards (hard to do) this puts the front of the spring in the wrong position and puts a lot of torque on the springs and shackles. Look at the front shackle side pieces they have different offsets. One is a straight piece the other is offset. The straight piece goes on the outside of the frame if I remember correctly. Also notice that the correct shackle bolt has it's head clipped off on one side. This clipped area should be matched to a similar raised area on the shackle side. This stops the bolt from spinning and the cotter key stops the nut from backing off.

The grease nipple on the rear of the front spring faces outward.
