I welded some BIG steel beams together today with 1/2" welding rod! Never welded with anything other than a 135 amp MIG before. This was a 300 AMP DC job! WOW! You really need the leather armor welding stuff that big!
Marty, I dont think I'll have any problem streching that short frame WDX out to 133" W.B. at all.
I tried out the Air arc thing also. You were right, it's loud as hell and throws molten steel everywhere. I smoked a good pair of dungarees! Whoo Weeeee!
I think I'll stick with a plasma cutter, for the small stuff. HeHe!!!
