I know when I bought my 48 PW I got a good deal and did not relise it at the time, comparing it to what they want for parts now. I paid 2,000.00 for the works but the newly rebuilt zero mile engine was worth that. If I was to buy another one to fix up and not get so lucky, I could see having to spend 2,000.00 for the engine, 4000.00 for the PW which would put me into the truck 6,000.00 befor I realy started restoring it?? Now after I bought all the parts to make it dependable and look nice along with the paint and not including my labor I bet I would have close to 10,000.00 into the truck. I cannot afford to do it that way. I will have to find another good deal or get a M-37 to fix up because the parts are so cheap to get compaired to a PW. I think my next one will be a M-37 something I can build up take out in the brush and not worry about scratching it up or breaking parts on it. If I was to sell my PW I would have to sell it for what it is worth to build another one, not what I have into it cause I don't think anyone is going to give me another good deal like I got before. (beginers luck) I am still fresh on remembering what it took to do the last one and when I see these trucks for sale I know what I would have to do to make it like the one I have now. Just not ready to take on another basket case in boxes again unless the price is right. Mark H.
