Well, Here is why I got a dump truck (or now, I got 3 of them....) I bought 12 acres in the country almost 2 years ago, and I like to do things myself and save money. So, I decided I wanted a 3 yarder on a 1 ton chassis. Well, I wanted a 4X4 so I could really get in tight spots. So, I looked all over for a 1 ton dually 4X4 dump truck, but could not find one, so instead I decided to build one! I really wanted to find an old 60's W-300 to build, but could not practically find one around here, so instead I bought this rusty old 86 Ford F-350 Dually 4X4 flatbed with a snow plow. Well I decided to find a 3 yard dump box for it. Well then a freind had a '77 Ford with a 3 yard dump setup so, I bought it, but it came with a '78 Ford 4X4 as well. Well at first I was just gonna put the dump on it and be done with it, and use it around the property. Well I decided to go into the small haul business after I get settled on my land so......... Well to make a long story longer, I now have a whole lot full of Fords, and what it boils down to is this: The truck will be built on the '86 frame, but will have a '88 Cab, 1981 front sheet metal, '83 Doors, a 1988 7.3 diesel, a 4 speed and 205 from a 1977 Truck, I have just about everyting to finish it, but now that I think about it, for the money I will have into it when done, I coulda bought a decent W-300 Dump and had some change left over..... Granted it will be a stout truck when done.... I also have a '54 Ford 1 ton dump, that I bought to use for a "yard Truck" and a '60 Ford F-600 Grain dump. I bought that monster to save from being scrapped.

If you need an excuse for a dump, here is a few to use... A yard truck, a Farm truck, going into a side business, Just bored and want something different to tinker with for a change.
