I used a piece of allthread and two yokes. I measured and bent the rod, put it in place, and made the final adjustments with a floor jack and a two-by-four (so it would clear the tranfer case). Be sure to double-nut the yokes to prevent them from turning. I got the yokes from from VPW for $10. ea.
Works great!
