The older distributor (Auto-Lite IAD 4201-1, MoPar 930 367) found on '46 and '47 WDXs, and on into the B-series, up to engine #T137-18518, used the larger cap. I am not sure exactly what the differences are between the other 3 distributors, after this first initial one, and the 1507 456 found on the C3PW. But the manuals show a 3rd cap number 1235 421 as being used on distributor number 1193 282 between the engine numbers of 18518 and 19740. All the rest are shown using cap 1343 576 as found on your's.

I have found that NAPA changes their numbering schemes at times and sometimes cross reference numbers even get transposed. (Newer numbers pointing to older parts and older numbers pointing to newer parts.) I have an old NAPA cap AL90 in my glove box that is in a NAPA box marked AL63 that looks and fits just like NAPA AL96. I take with me an old original Auto-Lite IGC-1107 cap from one of the IAD 4201-1 distributors whenever I go to purchase a new cap.

Glad you were able to find the correct one for your truck.

Clint
