I got a 74 D200 club cab with a 440. It has AC but it dont work. Truck is hot to ride in but I havent noticed it being any different then any other vehicle with the windows down and no AC. You sure your heater control valve is not open and you are pumping hot water into your heater core? That will make a big difference!!!!!!!!! My cable thats hooked to the COOL/WARM function on the AC/Heater controls is broke. It slides back and forth but it dont move the control valve for the heater core. I bet yours is in the open position.
