the Basics
the Dodge Power wagons that came equiped with the Military NDT tires (WDX W300M WM300 series )were designed for and intended to be used 100 % of the time on non paved roads and a very low percentage were every used as paved road vehicles in their working (first life)
1. "Flat Spotting" is caused by the nylon cords in the body of the tire taking a "SET" over night and has nothing to do with the NDT
Tread design. this is not an off road use problem.
2. steering on wet icy pavement
NOT an OFF road use problem if it in fact
really exists
3. stopping on wet / icy pavement
NOT an OFF road use problem if it in fact
really exists
4. work fine with chains off road leave
chains very loose for traction in mud
5. don't know about wagon wheels
6. probably less chipping than some other
tread patterns. go to the pictures page
from the home page - vintage - look at the
picture of one of my dad's WESTERN LINE
trucks notice RF tire is almost smooth
no rock chips and the job we were on at
the time had nothing but rock cat roads
into the tower sites
7. Never heard any of the operators complain
about steering effort - it came with the
job - a guy would have been laughed off of
the job if he said 'my truck is too hard
for me to steer'
8. Could be an alignment problem on your
vehicle
AH your Fix a frenchie tire
is your opinion as were most of your comments and not based on actual test data
