The STAs stop better on wet pavement better do to a better grip with more lugs and a flater surface instead of a single rib down the center. I do think the NDT are stroger for being abused but I do more hwy driving then off road on bad rocks and such so I went for a tire that suited most of my driving instead of the look. It still gives me great traction, looks good and has a nice ride too. Better for those reasons to me. I live where there is ice and people I know who run NDTs do not like the way they slide on ice or grip in the snow. Mark H.
