I just re-did my 727 conversion. Originally, it was just like Chris',but the machinist who put the end of the m37 intermediate shaft on the 727 slip joint could not get it perfect. Subsequently, it shook like a booger at 1800-2000RPM. I went down to my friendly neighborhood drive train shop, and it turns out there is a Spicer "End yolk" to replace the input yolk on the original TC. This let me use non home-made parts. I put a double cardan jount between the tranny and the TC. This made up for a little distance. End result: absolutely no vibration. Downside: the original tranny slip joint is only a 1310. But if it holds up to a Hemi...
I dont have any pics, but could get some if you are interested. Also, I did move the TC back 4".This allowed the use of the much cheeper "lond tail 727". And drive shaft resizing is relatively cheap around here. But if you have a short shaft, no TC relocation should be needed. hope this helps. cliff
