The British took a bunch of 1940 3 ton 4 x 2 trucks like this one, an RAF bus built on a cab and windscreen cowl, also some COE 6 x 4 Welles-Thornton conversions. They also had a pile of standard military 3 ton 4 x 2 trucks built in Canada which were designated D60L (Dodge 60 hundredweight, Long wheelbase)

I'm sure the US continued civilian production at a reduced level for essential use, with typical blackout features like painted steel trim, plastic rad shell ornament, general lack of chrome, and this would just be one of these trucks.
