Marty, I got insurance for my 42 WC22 1/2 ton dodge around $95.00 a year from Farm Bureau Insurance company. I have the truck insured with $12,000 policy. If it is damaged in accident, they will fix it. If a tree falls on building and damages truck where it is stored in, they will fix it or pay policy out. If building catches on fire and burns truck, it is covered. If it is stolen, it is covered.Only restrictions are I cannot use it to go back and forth to work everday or to use it as business vehicle hauling supplies. I guess they do not want to be responsible if you have items falling off of your truck moving any type of materials that somebody is paying you to move not your own materials or whatnot. I work for the county so I have a 4 door RAM 1500 to drive and I do not own my own business except for doing small trenching jobs and they are not more than 3 or 4 a month. No restrictions on how many miles I put on truck either. So having to deal with not being able to drive my WC22 to work or not being able to haul materials for somebody else to make money is no big deal. I just had to take the truck to insurance company so they could take pictures of it so they saw that is was not some old beater I was trying to put a large amount on. I could have gotten a cheaper rate if I did not have the value of truck so high but if something happened to it and I did not have ENOUGH insurance on it, I would have been sick as a dog!
