Besides the up scaling in dress code, its important to be sure people know your name and also you need a good story. Thinking back, I once went into a pre owned car emporium. The gentleman who was going to be my guide to the dream car of my life had his name in dyno tape stuck to everything, including his huge plastic frame glasses and all his pens. He also had a great story. He was a goose and was going to give me the golden egg in the form of the car he knew I wanted. If I dropped the egg/car, I would never get such a deal again. He also had more flowers on his desk than a funeral.
Ah, yes, I dropped the golden egg and the yoke ran on his Bright Red Plaid Pants. But to this day, probably 20+ years later, I remember his name and story.
