I will give it a shot. The 642 is the mid sized tranny and is about 600 pounds. The 4 means 4-speed. ( A 653 would have a 8:1 granny low gear.) The last number is to show some oilpan capacity or age.
I don't think this would have an overdrive.
A 545 series tranny would weigh much less and be much easier to fit in somewhere.
Do a Google search for the Allison site.
This info is only from my memory, but we do have 6 Allisons.
