I painted mine grey like the 8N color but it's not right.

I have an NOS head here & the color is definitely silver/aluminum. I have a can of paint here & the color is called dull aluminum & it's an exact match to the NOS head but it's not engine paint. I imagine it would work fine but I haven't tried it.
