At least they could have used stainless right. Most likely it was meant to be changed
more frequently than we do. Coolant was not used near as much (just water) which helped cause gualding between the block and tube. Once you get it removed and start using coolant, this problem should be eliminated by keeping fresh coolant and checking or replacing the tube every few years. As for now,your stuck with the old method of removal, time and patience.
