What is political about honoring the sacrifice of our countrymen?
That picture was a garden, a Garden of Stone, each white spot representing an American who died liberating france, see that little strip of beach, it is called Normandie. 10,300+ Americans died there 59 years ago, they fought and died so the french could be free, free to piss and moan about US Imperialism and the lack of french power in the world.

Three times in the last 100 years America has bailed out the french, WWI, WWII, and the Cold War, we ask for nothing in return but friendship, we kept no territory, except the small field near the sea in which to bury our dead. That and a small section of the Argonne Forest where we buried another 22,000 from WWI.
Not all french are arrogant towards America, and many of our best citizens claim their roots their, it is just irritating that we have to beg them for support in our times of need, a little more backbone on their part and Saddam may well have given up without a fight.
End of rant, it is just a reminder that Freedom is not free and American will answer the call everytime she is called upon, even if we have to go it alone.
I do give the french credit for one thing, if they weren't such wiennies the Dodge Brothers would have not had the need to invent these trucks, ha!ha!
