Paul, your picture and thoughts are certainly well timed. Last night, a local symphonic band concert devoted a moving musical tribute "Lonely Beach" along with original B&W slides in the background. A retired history professor narrated. And then they invited four D-Day veterans up on the stage and recognized their amazing idividual records--quiet old men, living amoung us who had truly fought the good fight and come home. One of the tough old 101st troopers had made a 50th anniversary jump over France in '94!
The best news for us is our son-in-law's safe return to wife and child at Ft. Benning after the campaign with the 3rd Inf Div. PTL
Our prayers are with your son for his safe return as well.
