Hi,

Mopar Action magazine had a good article on ways to prevent vapor lock. One thing mentioned was to use a return line to the tank to keep the fuel flowing, especially when the engine is idling. There were a lot of mopar v8 powered carburated cars that used a metal fuel filter with three barbs, two large for in-out and one small for the return line to the tank. I think using an electric pump to keep pressure on the fuel (raise boiling point) in conjuction with a return line (to keep fuel moving) is an easy and important part of preventing vapor lock. Might need to put an orifice in the return line to keep from bleeding too much pressure off (trail and error).

good luck,
mark
