I'm down in Fla. and have an M37 with a 230 in it. It gets real hot down here in the summer and I have had vapor lock problems. I did 2 things to solve it (you never do just one):
1. Changed the steel fuel lines to the Stn. Stl. braided fuel lines. The Stn. Stl. wrap acts like a heat shield and the rubber hose inside does not transmit hear as much. Best price is at Summit Racing.

2. I ran an electric fuel pump in parallel with the mechanical one. I matched up the psi rating of the pump and the fuel system. In the case of the 230 flat head 6, it's 4-5 psi. I have a switch on the dash that activates the pump. If your driving and it vapor locks up, all you do is turn on the switch and get a blast of gas up to the carb to overcome the vapor lock. The vapor locking happens mostly while your at a long light or stuck in non-moving traffic. THe fuel cooks and turns to a vapor.

Look around where the gas line is close to the exhaust manifold. That's probabally where it's vapor locking up.
