The economy is complex and interesting. One key is to not get caught up in worrying about what the Jones' or everyone else is doing or spending their money on. It just breeds resentment and bitterness. Focus on what you can do to make your lot better, or how you can go against the grain if the grain is rubbing you wrong. (sort of like these trucks I'd guess)
One should get no pleasure in predicting gloom and doom, just to be able to say "I was right". It is more constructive to channel your talents into preventing personal financial problems and breeding success. We advance ourselves as a person and as a society by improving ourselves,...not by bringing everyone else down to our level of misery.
That is why socialism will never work, and why our economy will thrive and prosper. That glass you are looking at is half full, not leaking! ha!ha!
May you see success in the coming year.
