The Edelbrock is about the same carb as the Carter AFB. I THINK EdelBrock bought the rights to produce this carb. Excellent carb! I have ran a few and love them. They are very very streetable. I have seen gas guzzlin big block V8 trucks go from getting 8 MPG to 13-15 MPG just by putting a 'Brock on it. A very responsive carb they are. Very effiecent too. I really like them. Besides, seeing a Edelbrock is pretty much a Carter AFB and Mopars Love Carter Carbs...It only makes sense to run a 'Brock.

I have had my fair share of Holley carbs, and I really have no use for them. A Holley Carb Just dumps fuel. And they are very very tempramental. They are very easy to tune, But you have to tune them often, and they really suck the fuel. About all a Holley is good for is for straight out, drag racing ,or on a mud bogger that you keep on a fairly flat surface.

I know I am gonna get laughed at and possibly flammed for this, BUT the best carb for off road use, expecially when you go up inclines or hit lots of bumps is a Rochester Q-jet. Be shure to get an older one with no electronics on it. They have Center hung floats which reduce fuel slosh and they will run at some mean angles. With the secondaries working right, they give excellent throttle response.
