Unless the truck was a special order with the fender paint matching the cab color, the fenders, running boards, headlight buckets, cowl lamp buckets, windshield frame, front inner fender splash shields, fender and running board brackets all are usually found to be black. Most radiator grills were painted cab color. Frame, axle housings, transfer case, front bumpers, and wheels were black regardless of cab color. Engine, Transmission, and PTO case are silver. On the interior, dash and firewall - cab color. Floor pans and center hump over transmission - black. Sheetmetal door panels and kick panels - black unless fenders were special ordered as cab color in which case these panels are usually cab color also. Rear wheel wells on pickup bodied trucks - cab color. "DODGE" lettering on taigate painted silver on dark colored trucks, black on light colored trucks. Wood floor in pickup bed - black along with teh skid strips.

But, any color or combination is correct as long as you are happy with it.

Clint
