Thanks guys.
I know 318 and 360 don't interchange
The one pan I have on the 318 "LA" (1971) is a shallow center sump with an offset to the left. It WILL clear the front pumpkin,
The pan I have on the 318 "A" engine ( from a 1963 W200) is a front sump and will clear everythng in a Power Wagon but the M37 sits considerably lower and the front crossmember and front axle are almost on top of each other, BOTH right under the front sump on the '63 318 pan. If the 71 pan will bolt to the '63 engine my problem is solved. I can swap pans and oil pick-ups.
The question was, do the early 318 (poly engine) and the later 318 ('68 and later) pans interchange?
