That would work if you could use the right crimping tool. I have a tool that will put almost 20 tons of crimp presure on a crimp and no way is it coming back off. You can buy different sizes of wire crimps at a electrical parts store. With the right persure crimp you would distort the wire inside the crimp and it would not slip out. My crimping tool cost around 250.00 so it might be better to see if you could borrow ot rent it from a electrical contractor near you. Mark H.
