for the new upholstery. I'm going to get it done now so I can move the truck around and take it for an occasional drive down the back roads. 8^) I have had the same guy do my seats and interior stuff for quite awhile now. But, he has been known to use some carpet padding in them. Is this bad? What sort of material should he be laying over the spring and layering in there. He says that he can't get the stuff that was in them originally.
Please give any thoughts that you might have about this.
Also, anyone got any pics or good ideas to make my new seat look original and very strong but, doing it with a cloth bench top and back? I'll use something original looking around the front and edge of the back. (vinyl type stuff, brown bull hide looking) But, what would be the best for the cloth application? I shouldn't have any ribbing in there should I? Can you do cloth just smooth and still keep it strong? The cloth is for my wifes benifit! I'll be dropping it off a the shop on Tues.
Thanks all!
