68 W300 Questions?

ok, so I've been given a '68 W300 2WD, but the catch is that I have to get it rolling and move it by Monday and the kingpins were shot, so tore the front end apart and its laying on the bed of the truck....

So, should I spring the $80 bucks for new kingpins? I've been told that the spring width is the same as a full-size GM front axle, so in theory I could bolt in a d44 to get it rolling?

I may just buy the king pins for now to get it rolling, then try the 4x4 conversion later...yalls thoughts?
