My "neigbor" had about 80 roosters,(and as many hens)he used for Cock Fighting. One would crow, all would crow. All hours of the day and night. They would quite down in the evening. We had to move out until a judge had him remove them. The sound recording we did from my bedroon windown indicated that the noise level was the same as a small jet engine. Yes, cock fights are illeagle.
