if you have a bent drive shaft or such then you will get some extra vibration. Ill say again, those parts are not spinnng uselessly, the awd system is one of the safest things to drive on the street. If it wasnt all you woudnt have porche,audi,subaru and other offering on the hot cars. As far as cheep locker, you outa luck. The most extreme set up you could run is air lockers front and rear, non selecatable you can run a tru trac up front and a detroit in back and that will live, or just a posi or detroit on the rear. If you must swap to hubs on the front you can use 84 and up 3/4 ton parts from the ball joints out. I like the awd so much that one of the thoughts in the back of the mind would be to swap the 205 in my 92 diesel for a 203, a turned up diesel with no weight in the back is murder on rear tires.
