I have mounted some 34.5" BF Goodrich tires on my truck, thus reducing the RPMs considerably. The only time I drove my truck in the 80mph range was coming back from Southern Idaho a few weeks ago. I didn't hold it there very long, because I was over the speed limit, but I didn't notice a lot of excessive revving. (Possibly the bigger tires). At 65 my tach reads about 1700 with these tires. Used to be closer to 2000 with the factory tires.
