Nobody wants to be accused of wrong doing by someone who does not have all the facts!!! Even the person who is quick to jump to conclusions towards others, does not want to be fasely accused by others.
In over 25 years of driving, I have operated everything from a motorcycle to a Kenworth, with Dump trucks, fire trucks, and ambulances as the in-betweens, and have seen my share of moronic manuvers on the roads.
People expect every vehicle to handle like a Porsche. They are also angry that they have to share the road with others. And if there is no SPECIFIC law stating that you can't do a certain activity while driving, most people will say, "Well there is no law against it, then it must be okay"!!
There are very few true accidents on the road. Most crashes are the result of intentional stupidity on the part of at least one of the drivers.
With so much greed and stupidity operating behind the wheel, I am amazed that there aren't more accidents.
A few ideas:
-We need tougher diving classes, tests, and courses for all drivers.
-You want a licence, you must work/observe/volenteer in a trama center, hospital, physical therapy center, rescue squad, morgue and see REAL results of peoples poor driving.
-wear a fake arm or leg cast for a day
-slower cars
Anyway, Doug has been wrongly attacted over the years. It seems that anyone who tries to do things is the target of unwarranted opinions. I am very bothered by this since I have dealt with Doug and have know him to be very dilegent and professional.
Doug, you are still a "Straight Up" guy in my book.
