Never got that frame from the guy, did not need it. I paid 600.00 to the guys who helped me sand and paint the cab and hood. Add that to the paint cost and and materials like sanding disks, thinners, pads, tack cloths ect and the paint job realy cost me over 1,000.00 to do. Took the 3rd transmission to get a matching set of good gears & shafts with no pits in them. I just counted the recites I kept and not including cash ones or one I lost or just did not recive and it was 87 of them. So that is at least 87+ - trips to town which is about 2100 miles to get parts alone. I know I did other things but a lot of those trips were just for parts! There are lots of hours just to locate and get the parts. It is all time to restore one of these. I am tring to be honest about this truck. I have only seen a couple of finished trucks for sale on this site or eBay and the ones I have seen have been driven for a while befor being sold. To me I feel it is worth it to others maybe not. I never would have thought it would cost this much to do when I started. Maybe that is why so many take so long to build or are sold not done telling you it just needs a few things done to finish it. There are ones that were just painted and sold for less and I have heard from others of ones sold for more. I don't know where you can go to look at a bunch of them finished to get real prices on them. I realy do not want to sell it and I won't give it away for what I have into parts. I am sure there are some who have finished theirs and know what it takes to do them fresh again. Just go to any Auto Repair or Paint Shop and ask them to do it and see what it costs. They wanted 600.00 to put a oil pump in a car I had and 500.00 to put a used transmission in a van plus the cost of the transmision and no warrenteed when done. I may be wrong since I don't pay to have things fixed but last time I thought it was around 65.00 a hour for a mech to work on something at a shop? Mark H.
