I've seen a few images of this sort of thing. The Alaska railroad site had an image of something (the Grey Goose?) which was a very similar truck conversion with trailer, and they also have an image of the only remaining Evans Products Auto-Railer I've been able to find on the 'net.

Evans gear was fitted to many WW2 Dodge types like the WD21 panel van as seen in Fred Crismon's book above, but none seem to survive so I'm buying Fairmont Motors Hy Rail equipment to fit to one of my Dodges. Unfortunately Hy Rail only seem to date back to about 1949 so it'll be some years newer than the truck.
