thats what i though too. i talked to the manager yesterday to try and get the estimate straightened out BEFORE they sent it or a check to me so we could avoid the hassle. their insurance had bid for the bumper to be "straightened and rechromed" which is a cop out. i made him list it for either a warrantied refurbished one or a new bumper. straightening the bumper isn't going to fix the weakness in the metal, and they aren't going to be able to get it completely straight. when i asked the manager about the siping he wouldn't even acknowledge the request for a discount. and was just trying to rush me out. i told him that there were a lot of people watching how this turns out, and that they may determine whether or not to use discount tires over this. hmmmmm suddenly he got really cooperative........ we'll see how it plays out tomorrow. heck we've BARELY even talked about a rental car. that should be fun. needless to say i've been unimpressed with the customer sevice so far. but i'm trying hard to give them a chance.
