PWs are obviously "good" 4X4s (some would argue "best"), lot of advantages as noted. But I'm surprised at the difficulty finding old IHC iron. oldihc.org and the binder bulletin have good classifieds. Locally, I have turned down two very cheap running 3/4 ton '60s IHC 4X4s (in WA) in the past few months. Over the past year I have passed up many similarly-priced ($250 to $800) '50s S-120s and 60s 3/4 ton 4X4 trucks for the same reason: All had the small-knuckle 44 fronts, so they weren't interesting to me, been there done that. It was a real relief to find the big pig so I don't have to keep looking.
