I need some ideas. On my 1/2 ton WC, to which has had a complete rebuild. I have had it on the road for a year or so, about 1000 miles. The front springs were very weak and flat. so, I had them re-arched and an extra leaf added, thus lifting it about two inches from were it was. I think it sits about were it did new with about three inches of travel between the axle and the rubber stops. Now when I hit about 40 MPH the front end shakes VERY violently until you can get slowed down to about 15 MPH. The tires had never needed to be balanced so never did. It was late in the day so I had the front two balanced, one took a lot of weight and the other just a little. No help. I am lost. Today I will double recheck the springs mountings and try to check the caster and camber angles to see if that may have change with the re-arching of the springs. On the front end the king pin bearing were replaced and properly shimmed and the ball joints are tight. Any body have any other ideas.

One last question, on the ½ tons the center bolt on the front springs is to centered. Can somebody check to see which way that go on. I was careful to be sure to reinstall them with longer side to the rear. Help Thanks Dave
