Sorry to gab on, but I think I was misleading in what I said about cost-comparison of the IHC 1300C 4X4 and W300s. The reference to $3,500 was just a figure I personally expected to pay for a W300 in the same shape as my binder, it means nothing in terms of actual "worth" of a truck to anybody else. What I was trying to suggest is that W300s are desirable for a number of good reasons, and hold their value well in comparison with my binder.

This "worth" issue is tricky. An example: One of my "daily drivers" is a '53 M-37 I paid $1,200 for. I sank another $1,500 and a month's work getting it on the road. To me, it was well worth it. A guy stopped by and wanted to buy the truck, was surprised I told him $3,000. His argument? M-37s aren't worth very much because his uncle had bought one once for $200. True, every now and then you can find a super deal and that's great fun, but a person shouldn't expect that to have anything to do with actual "worth," or value of similar rigs.
