The guy told me it gets 9 mpg. That is what my towing truck gets right now. I had a diesel suburban and it got great milage because it spent all it's time in my driveway getting worked on! The only thing I will use a GM diesel for is a boat anchor, and it propbably wouldn't work very well for that! I can't afford a new Duramax, those might be better.
