Looking to change out my 230 to a 251, I just got (last nite) an old Dodge dump truck with a clean engine in it, 25" long head. First it does have vacuun advance. Second, the oil filter is on a "post", smaller diameter than others I've seen and has no oil lines in or out of it(passages are in the cast post). The final clue is that cast into the head it says "Spitfire". So I thought maybe someone may know if this thing be a 237,251 or 265. Tonight I'll take it out of the truck and look for numbers on the block. Maybe I can take a picture and post it. (I,ve never done that) Any ideas about what this is will be greatly appreciated.
