What's Ford about it?

That's very confusing. He should have spent more words describing what's Ford and what's Mack about it rather than bragging about how spectacularly honorable he is. The guy might be honest, but I bet he's wierd to deal with. Anyway, he says it's a Mack cab, so presumably the chassis is Model A? The engine certainly isn't. But then in the pictures of the chassis, it's got chain drive finals and it says it's 2-ton rated and the springs look about right for that. I don't know old Macks, but I don't see anything Ford about it either.

Why didn't he list it as a Mack under "Commercial trucks" or "Other makes"? There's 17 Macks listed under "Commercial trucks", including a 1948.

Another strange thing is he says the tranny is rebuilt with "all new clutches". Why plural? Does he mean synchros? Hard to believe it would have synchros.

And why are there two tiny little simple things left to do on it? If the restorer is alive and well and has consigned this spectacular museum piece to the "Captain" to sell for over $15K, why not install the canvas side curtains and the gas system for the lights? I can see selling a project that got overwhelming before it came close to being finished, but after all that work, why leave off a couple little things?

The "famous firm of Reinholds Restoration" doesn't show up in a google search, except in one single directory of antique furniture restorers. Whoever they are, they're sure not famous for vehicular work. Which maybe explains why they used red oak for the bed. I would bet money any original bed was white oak, since it's FAR more rot-resistant. Red oak is cheaper and easier to find, though.

Picky points: He uses "'" marks an awful lot, and why is it important that the restorer is of Italian descent?

It's an incredible piece of work, but something is strange with the seller.
