Just filled up the tranfer case and was about to do the same to the rear axle and there is a hole cut into the housing on the horizontal between the pumkin and the springs on the right side?
Can anyone tell me why someone would cut a hole like this, it's about a 1-1/2" square hole with a plate on the inside and a cover plate and gasket on the outside with a 5/16" bolt in the middle? Looks home made(torched),any idears.
