Aside from being a rich hotbed of FlatFenders (still sitting in the fields waiting for Paul I. to scoop up), M37s, & Power Wagons (one of Doug's favorite yellow flatfenders came from these rolling hills), it is one of Cal's most beautifull areas. Jackson, Ione, Fiddletown, Plymouth, Cool, Placerville, Apple Hill... Don't forget to plan on having dinner at Teressa's family style restaurant in Jackson! There is a large campground in Plymouth if you need something with a few creature comforts! There were at least a half-dozen families that attended the Hollister PW Rally last year that were from this area. Have fun!
