After trying different techniques, this is what ended up working well for me: I first mount the cab parallel to the frame by useing the correct combination of fiber pads, wood blocks, or rubber donuts depending upon the year of the Power-Wagon. I then shim the running board brackets with washers as needed to get the running boards parallel with the bottom of the cab's door sills. Then add or remove shims as needed under the radiator cowl to bring the hood into alignment with the scallops in the cab sides and radiator cowl sides. The front fenders usually fall into place by starting at the front and working back. I first mount the inner fender splash shields loosely to the brackets on the radiator cowl and firewall. Then mount the fenders (with the front brackets attached) loosely to the radiator cowl. Start bolting the inner fender splash shields to the fenders starting at the front and working to the rear. Finish by bolting the rear of the fenders to the L-angle (already mounted to the frame) immediately ahead of the running board. Adjust clearence between the fender welting and cab sides and tighten all bolts.
