I've recently run across on old flat-fender PW for sale, and am considering it for a summer project. I know very little about these old trucks, so I'm looking for a little guidance and some people to answer questions. The truck has some front drive parts missing, otherwise it is complete and has very little rust.
questions:
1. What years were this style truck made?
2. How hard would it be to find a complete front axle assembly, or the parts for this one?
3. Are engine parts hard to find, and do they cost a fortune to keep running?
4. How hard to find are cosmetic/resto parts such as interior, body trim, rubber, and guages?
5. Does anyone make reproduction body panels or sell good rust-free sheetmetal?
Thanks for your help! I'm really looking forward to the possibilities of driving that big-ol' thing! If you have any words of wisdom or helpful hints I would appreciate it.
